Forced photometry on the archived images

Lightcurve at a sky position across the long-term image archive

Enter J2000 sky coordinates to get forced aperture photometry at that position on every matching image in the long-term image archive (optionally restricted to a UT date range). The archive is expected to include only good-quality frames. Because an archive job may measure hundreds of large images, it does not run while you wait: it is placed in a processing queue, and you follow it on a status page that turns into a persistent results page (lightcurve plot, per-image preview and aperture cutout, copy-paste ASCII table) when the job finishes. Results stay on the server at a stable URL; very old results may eventually be removed during server housekeeping.

Accepted coordinate formats:
  • Sexagesimal with colons: 19:20:11.64 +01:40:40.6
  • Sexagesimal with spaces: 19 20 11.64 +01 40 40.6
  • Decimal degrees: 290.0485 +1.6779
The Dec. sign may be -, +, or omitted for positive Dec. Dates are compared against the observation time from the FITS headers (in UT); leave both date fields empty to measure the whole archive.

Submission itself takes up to a minute (the server checks which fields cover the position and reads the archive image dates); please be patient after pressing the button. You will then be taken to the job status page — bookmark it. Queue overview
